Good job I was a bit slow with the tutorial series! Affilistore have just released version 2 of their excellent software. For those who have followed the tutorials so far, don’t fret as there is enough similarity between the two products that the rest of the tutorials will still be easy to understand.
I’ve just uploaded a copy to a spare domain and the key differences are more aimed at people building comparison sites with many product feeds. The ability to add merchant logos and extra fields in particular is very handy for this, but not so relevant for a single-merchant site.
The ability to add your own unique content via ‘pages’ and ‘news’ has now been improved up on with the addition of user reviews that can be added from the front end. This is the biggest addition I’ve uncovered so far, and would probably be enough to convince me to make the switch if I was at the position we’re at now with the tutorials.
If you have already added a lot of content to your site, it may be worth heading over to the Affilistore forum to see who you can backup pull some of this and add it into a new site.
The front end is also VERY nice looking in comparison to the old sites, and there are more options as to where you link your various pages within the templates so boring stuff like privacy policies no longer sit alongside your juicy how-to guides and linkbait content.
No doubt I’ll be digging around more later today and will post back as I find more about the new release

Good news and many thanks the heads up. I had only recently discovered AffiliStore_v1.1 (via this blog as it happens) so the timing of this release is perfect for those of us still at the early stages of working out what AffiliStore is capable of ’straight out the box’ so to speak, without the need for custom modifications. As it happens, the multiple product feed capability was the key selling point for me. I say selling point but unbelievably it’s free!?
