I’ve been running a few client email campiagns this week and playing with a few of the budget US hosted systems.
Top of the heap for me at the moment is Intellicontact A new player on the block who I’m using to send out some emails for Tim Hollis Photography.
Tim is capable enough to have a system he can run himself, and just wants us to get him started so this is a great little tool. It has the best user interface I’ve seen on a hosted system.
Generally speaking, I love it. It has all the features I want; nice integration with the client site, total flexibility over design, autoresponders even RSS feeds by email, a great tool for getting visitors back to your blog.
Thed only thing I dislike is the compulsory advertising block on the end of each email which you have no control over.

On a hosted system I can tolerate this as it means that all the users of the system are CAN SPAM compliant, a lot tougher law than is necessary to stick to UK legislation, but a little more influence over the design would be good.
