First there was Google Adwords, driving traffic to your site
Then there was Google Analytics telling you how many visitors did what you wanted them to do
Now Google is attempting to bridge the gap and helping webmasters to raise their conversion rates using the new Google Website Optimizer
Introduced at the eMetrics summit in Washington by Google Analytics Senior Manager Brett Crosby, this looks like a great tool for e-commerce sites, lead generation programmes and more.
The tool claims to take much of the technical leg-work out of designing and testing landing pages for your advertising camaigns. Certainly something I’ll be giving a go in the coming weeks.
An unfortunate omission is the ability to test different audio tracks on the site or they’d never have chosen the speaker they did!
